How many other localized and segregated bastards does eve have? China has very strict laws and regulations regarding entertainment, such as video games. It is essentially impossible to release a game in china without heavy modifications. For example, World of Warcraft had to remove all skeletons and replace them with tombstones, and all zombies had to be redesigned. Cultural quirks enacted into law. It's a large, but isolated, market. It's a large, but isolated, market with millions of pirated games. |

A good ISP is so important. Thanks to my ISP.There's just a average 246ms of lag and zero packet loss from Shanghai. |

Amity Lane wrote:Considering all the mentions of what the Chinese government refers to as the "June 4th Incident" in this thread, it's probably just a matter of time before EVE bans are being handed out by the Chinese government instead of CCP.
Honestly, I'm surprised Chinese players are permitted to play a Western title on a Western server in the first place.
Actually thereGÇÿs no such a prohibition in China. World of warcraft is more popular and mainstream than EVE in China. But the government never prohibits wowers from playing sever outside China(even in Taiwan), cause games make no threat against its governance. I even can buy games from Steam with RMB. I just bought Skyrim, the Sims3,Civilization5 and so forth on Steam. I also bought EVE cdkey through Steam. It's cheaper.... |
